Every order leaves our own factory in Hangzhou, China. We control the cutting, packing, and dispatch ourselves, which is why the timelines below are the ones we actually hold to rather than a supplier's estimate passed along to you.
Total delivery time is made up of two separate stages: processing time, the period we need to prepare your order, and shipping time, the period the carrier needs to move it from our factory to your door.
Processing time is counted from payment confirmation to the moment the carrier collects your parcel.
Silk fabric in stock — 1 to 3 days. Fabric is cut to your length, rolled on a core, wrapped in moisture barrier film, and boxed.
Custom products — 7 to 20 days. The category covers scarves, pajamas, robes, bonnets, bedding, and anything requiring custom printing, dyeing, sizing, or labelling. Where your order falls in the range depends on quantity, print method, and whether a pre-production sample needs your approval first. Digital printing runs at the fast end. Screen printing and custom dyeing take longer because of screen preparation and colour matching.
We confirm your production schedule by email once artwork and specifications are locked. If anything on our side slips, you hear it from us before the deadline passes, not after.
Shipping time is counted from carrier collection to delivery.
| Destination | Shipping time |
|---|---|
| United States | 5 to 7 days |
| United Kingdom | 3 to 5 days |
| All other countries | 3 to 7 days |
| Destination | Shipping time |
|---|---|
| All countries | 3 to 10 days |
Processing time plus shipping time gives the full window from order to delivery.
| Order type | Destination | Processing | Shipping | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Silk fabric | United States | 1–3 days | 5–7 days | 6–10 days |
| Silk fabric | United Kingdom | 1–3 days | 3–5 days | 4–8 days |
| Silk fabric | Other countries | 1–3 days | 3–7 days | 4–10 days |
| Custom products | All countries | 7–20 days | 3–10 days | 10–30 days |
Customs clearance sits outside carrier control and can add time in either direction. Remote and rural postcodes typically add one to two days beyond the ranges above.
Shipping is calculated automatically at checkout once you enter your delivery address. The exact amount appears before payment, with no charges added afterwards.
Orders above 100 meters of fabric, or any shipment over 50 kg, are quoted individually. At that volume air freight and sea freight usually cost less per kilogram than express courier, and we can ship under FOB, CIF, or DDP terms depending on what suits your import setup.
Email bush@ursilk.com with your quantity, destination port or city, and preferred incoterm. Quotes come back within one working day.
Prices on our website cover goods and freight only. Import duties, VAT, and customs handling fees are set by your country and are payable by you as the importer of record.
We declare the true commercial value on every shipment and issue a commercial invoice, packing list, and HS code with each parcel. Undervaluation requests cannot be accommodated, since a false declaration puts your goods at risk of seizure and exposes you to penalties well beyond the duty you would have saved.
Where thresholds and rates matter to your costing, your local customs authority or broker is the reliable source. Silk fabric and made-up silk articles fall under different HS headings and often carry different duty rates, so it is worth checking both if your order mixes them.
A tracking number reaches you by email within 24 hours of dispatch. Scans can take another 24 to 48 hours to appear as the parcel moves through the origin hub. A number showing no movement on day one is normal and not a sign of a problem.
Check your address carefully before paying. We can amend it free of charge while the order is still in production, but once a parcel is in transit the carrier charges a redirection fee that we have to pass on, and some destinations do not allow redirection at all.
Fabric rolls are long. A 140 cm width means a box of roughly 145 cm, so please supply a street address that can receive an oversized parcel. PO boxes and parcel lockers cannot accept fabric shipments.
For business deliveries, include the company name and a contact phone number. Carriers in most countries require a phone number to arrange customs clearance and will hold the shipment without one.
Inspect your parcel on arrival. If the outer box is damaged, photograph it before opening and note the damage on the carrier's delivery record where possible.
Report any damage or shortage within 5 days of delivery, with photographs of the goods, the box, and the shipping label. We replace or refund confirmed damage without argument. Claims raised after 5 days are harder to pursue with the carrier, which limits what we can recover on your behalf.
If tracking has shown no movement for 7 consecutive days, contact us and we will open a trace with the carrier.
Our factory closes for two national holidays each year, and both affect processing and shipping times:
Chinese New Year falls between late January and mid-February and closes the factory for roughly two weeks. Freight capacity tightens for several weeks either side.
National Day closes the factory for the first week of October.
Exact dates are posted on our homepage six weeks ahead. If your delivery date is fixed, place orders well before either period.
Email support@ursilk.com with your order number and we will answer within 3 working day.
